We’ve now finished works within the Golden Jubilee National Hospital at Clydebank, working closely with the main contractor MPMH Ltd. We were tasked with installing full electrical support for a new NHS Academy Simulation Suite, and it marks AKD’s fourth project completed within this hospital over the past 12 months.
Jobs included the installation of new distribution equipment, containment systems, small power, lighting, emergency lighting, lighting controls, medical services trunking systems, fire alarm, access control, structured cabling, nurse call and an earthing system. Working in a live hospital environment required a high degree of planning, and strong channels of communication with the end client and main contractor were crucial to ensure there was no disruption caused.
